About Piers
Piers has worked on some of the largest distressed corporate restructurings in South Africa in the last 10 years in various capacities.
Piers is a respected Senior Business Rescue Practitioner, and has taken high profile appointments in Optimum Holdings and Highveld Steel, which are large, complex matters with National significance.
His most recent and current engagement is to lead the Business Rescue of Evraz Highveld Steel, a vertically integrated steel and vanadium producer with turnover of R5billion per annum and 4 000 employees.
Piers has managed acquisitions and disposals in the private and listed environment and has been both a Chief Restructuring Officer and director of JSE listed companies gaining experience on a variety of sectors. Piers has worked on several successful turnarounds and taken several appointments as a senior Business Rescue Practitioner and Chief Restructuring Officer.

About Jenna
Jenna is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has an impressive academic background having been awarded merit bursaries in each year of study from both the University of Johannesburg and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she completed her articles. Jenna returned from two contracts in Dallas and New York, where she worked in the real estate and financial services sectors.
Before joining Matuson Associates to start a career in turnaround management and Business Rescue, Jenna gained valuable experience in financial modelling, investment feasibility and financial due diligence within the commodities sector.
In the 4 years at Matuson & Associates she has been involved in informal business turnarounds, independent business reviews and high profile Business Rescues, including Ellerine Furnishers (Pty) Ltd. Over this time she has developed a vast knowledge of both the legal and practical nuances of this dynamic industry.
Jenna is focused on the retail and property sectors within the turnaround and Business Rescue industry.

About Carrie
Carrie joined Matuson Associates in 2016.
Her experience encompasses over 17 years in optimising inbound freight, demand planning, inventory management, inventory evaluations, warehousing and physical product distribution (with emphasis on customer centricity and last mile importance).
She has vast corporate experience in value chain rationalisation, strategy development, process implementation, key performance indicator management and working capital maximisation.
Since joining Matuson and Associates, Carrie has assisted numerous clients who required a wide range of performance improvement/supply chain optimisation services. She works with executive management in order to assess the current and future business needs thus giving her the ability to provide detailed strategies tailored to specific requirements.
She has also gained experience regarding independent business reviews across multiple sectors of business.
Carrie received multiple Chairman Awards during her tenure heading Logistics at Nashua (Pty) Ltd.
